– Firming the skin using radiofrequency
To firm the skin, we offer BODYtite, FACEtite, and ACCUtite lipo-firming treatments performed under local anesthesia with sedation. This minimally invasive approach uses dual-polarity radiofrequency to melt fat and firm the skin of the face, neck, and body.
Following weight loss or pregnancy, skin tissue may lose elasticity, which can cause varying degrees of skin sagging. However, sagging skin is just a normal result of the effects of time on the body. Sometimes, exercise and a healthy lifestyle are not enough to restore skin tone. In short, a skin-tightening liposculpture procedure may be the best solution.
– How do BODYtite, FACEtite, and ACCUtite lipo-firming work?
This device includes a non-suction cannula that has a plastic tip with an electrode that transfers energy to the tissue. These treatments generate heat that melts fat cells, which are then removed from the body with liposuction. In addition, the thermal energy generated will stimulate the production of collagen deep down and help tighten the skin.

– Are BODYtite, FACEtite, and ACCUtite skin firming treatments safe?
BODYtite, FACEtite et ACCUtite are very safe procedures used to firm the skin and reshape the silhouette. This technology also allows us to safely treat the different layers of the skin to a depth of 50 mm (2”). In addition, the temperature is controlled in real time between 50°C and 70°C under the skin and up to 42°C on the surface in order to prevent the risk of burns. The heat generated by the radiofrequency is therefore distributed evenly and allows for a three-dimensional contraction of the dermis. We can therefore better concentrate all this energy and avoid overheating or under-contracting the treatment area, which allows us to firm a large volume of tissue continuously.
– How do they differ from other skin firming treatments?
First, these lipo-firming skin procedures use dual-polarity radiofrequency, unlike laser or single-polarity radiofrequency treatments. In addition, our treatments offer the same effectiveness in areas with low or high fat density. As a result, BODYtite, FACEtite, and ACCUtite surpass the efficiency of the laser, which has sensors that cannot reach high-density areas. In short, these liposculpture techniques for reshaping and firming the skin provide results that were previously only possible with surgery.
– What areas can be treated with BODYtite?
The BODYtite procedure allows us to firm the skin on the arms, breasts, stomach, hips, back, thighs, and knees. We can also correct asymmetries and—in some cases—avoid the need for lift surgery.
– Can BODYtite be combined with other procedures?
In addition to firming the skin and melting fat cells, BODYtite works very well with other procedures. For example, we can add liposuction, gynecomastia treatment, or a FACEtite treatment. However, to treat severe abdominal sagging, Dr. Arbour may also recommend a tummy tuck.
– How long does a BODYtite skin firming procedure take?
A BODYtite skin firming treatment takes an average of 1 to 2 hours depending on the treatment area. On the other hand, if it is combined with another procedure, the operation time will accordingly be longer.
– How long is the recovery time with BODYtite?
You will need to allow 2 to 3 days of recovery before you can resume work, and avoid physical exertion. In addition, we recommend that you wear a compression garment for a total period of 4 weeks.
– Postoperative follow-up
Whether it is for a BODYtite, FACEtite, or ACCUtite skin firming treatment, you should schedule at least one postoperative follow-up the following week to assess the reaction of the skin. Dr. Arbour will then meet with you again within 6 months after the operation to assess the final result.
– How does FACEtite skin firming treatment differ from BODYtite?
We use FACEtite exclusively for the neck and BODYtite for large areas of the body. In addition, the non-suction cannula is smaller than the one used during a BODYtite treatment. As a result, Dr. Arbour can safely proceed with subcutaneous treatment to a maximum depth of 25 mm (1”).
– In which areas can the skin be firmed with FACEtite?
The FACEtite treatment is essentially a liposculpture solution to reshape the contours of the face and firm the skin of the neck. In addition, it offers you similar results to a light facelift without the long scars.
– Can ACCUtite skin firming treatment be combined with other procedures?
It is also possible to combine ACCUtite with eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty), liposuction, or BODYtite skin firming treatment.
– How long is the recovery time with FACEtite?
As with the BODYtite treatment, allow 2 to 3 days of recovery for work that does not require physical exertion. We also recommend that you wear a compression band during this time. It should then be worn for half the day for 3 to 4 weeks. However, some patients return to work the day after their operation, depending on their ability to recover.
– How long will it take to see the result?
In fact, the result begins to be visible once the swelling subsides, and it takes about 6 months to see the final result. The tissue tightening can sometimes also extend over a period of a year before seeing optimal results. In addition, the results will remain visible for a period of 3 to 5 years before having to repeat the treatment as needed.
