SKIN TAGS TREATMENT
—How to treat skin tags
Skin tags are small skin lesions that protrude in areas of friction, such as the neck, armpits, groin, and inner thighs. They are bothersome and sometimes painful. Under local anesthesia, the treatment involves excising the lesion at the base using electrocautery, which burns and cauterizes the tissue. A crust then forms, which falls off in 7 to 10 days. Other skin tags form regularly, but not in the same place.
